About The Position

This role involves assembling cartons, wrapping protective material around items, inserting them into cartons to prevent breakage and damage, and closing, sealing, and labeling cartons. The position also requires recording inventory, packing and crating special items in specialized containers, and maintaining material counts by carton type. This is not an inside job and involves significant stair climbing and walking, potentially in hot conditions.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Occasionally required to sit.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
