About The Position
The Packer C position is responsible for packing products in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to workplace safety and productivity.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing return on investment.
- Knowledge of machines used in the production process. Must be aware and abide by all safety operations of equipment.
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Responsibilities
- Read production sheets to ensure proper specifications for product being produced and packed.
- Prepare packaging for finished product by placing labeling and building pallets.
- Inspect product, document inspections, and report concerns promptly to the machine operator or supervisor.
- Remove finished product from the production line and package neatly in boxes or bulk.
- Weigh finished cases and record accurate weights using the upper control limits (UCL), target, and lower control limits (LCL).
- Keep up with the production process and daily production goals.
- Keep up with the production line(s).
- Keep finished product picked up and stacked neatly.
- Complete all necessary paperwork as required.
- Assist co-workers when needed.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
