About The Position

Fastenal is hiring an entry-level, part-time Packaging employee at its distribution center in Winona, Minnesota. The role helps move products through the distribution center to company-owned branches by packaging and fulfilling orders by hand or machine. Core work includes counting parts, weighing products for accuracy, inspecting them, and properly sealing and packing them for customers and branches. The position may offer a flexible schedule after onboarding and training and once performance goals are met.

Requirements

Proficient written and oral communication skills.
Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer-service oriented.
Strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks over long periods.
Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and extra time as needed.

Ability to lift, slide, carry, and lower packages typically weighing 25–50 pounds and potentially up to 100 pounds.
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).
