The Packaging & Visual Inspection Operator II performs packaging, labeling, and visual inspection for sterile pharmaceutical products. The role supports the production of high-quality products by ensuring defects are identified, products are packaged accurately, and all activities are documented in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. This role operates within a highly regulated manufacturing environment and is responsible for maintaining product quality, data integrity, and compliance throughout the packaging and inspection process. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum one year experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment, packaging, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures, specifications, and technical instructions.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and complete accurate documentation.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and basic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete and maintain all required packaging, gowning, equipment, and visual inspection training and qualification.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, clean, and change over packaging, labeling, and visual inspection equipment.
- Perform packaging and visual inspection activities following approved procedures and specifications.
- Identify, segregate, and document defective or nonconforming products.
- Complete batch, inspection, equipment, and reconciliation records accurately and in compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Conduct line clearance, material verification, in-process checks, and product reconciliation.
- Follow SOPs, safety, gowning, data integrity, and quality requirements.
- Escalate quality concerns, defects, deviations, and equipment issues promptly.
- Maintain required qualifications, training, and participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support routine operational activities.
- Collaborate with Operations, and Quality teams to meet goals.
- Perform additional duties consistent with training and business needs.
- Work assigned shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by business operations.
