About The Position

OBS, LLC provides staffing for CannAscend Ohio Processing, LLC, a family-owned, small business in Wilmington, Ohio, operating a medical cannabis processing facility. The company extracts medicinal properties from plants to create beneficial products. They are seeking an Entry Level Packaging Technician to assist in all aspects of packaging, labeling, and delivery of cannabis products, as well as general facility support.

Requirements

Perform duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry.
Carry out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations, Company SOPs, and all applicable procedures.

Communicate well, in a professional manner, with employees and customers.
The work requires the physical and mental capacity to contribute daily to an often rigorous, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding cannabis processing facility.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work productively within a group environment.
Ability to focus, stay on task, and continuously demonstrate attention to detail.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
The candidate must pass the state required background check through the FBI and the BCI.
Be 21 years of age or older.
Reliable transportation is a must.
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods on a concrete floor.
A willingness to follow specific rules and procedures without deviation.
Valid driver's license and ability to successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.
Pass a comprehensive background check that includes a criminal history.
Maintain a current driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to sit for long periods of time and get in and out of an automobile several times a day.
Proficient in basic computer skills.
Steady employment history.
Confident navigating by using maps and GPS.

Responsibilities

Assist in all areas of packaging, labeling, and delivering cannabis products.
Cross train and provide coverage in the processing departments as business needs require.
Responsible for safely, securely, and lawfully producing and transporting cannabis products to dispensaries, while ensuring strict adherence to state law and all protocols and controls.
Work alongside an assistant to provide security for the staff and product from the processing facility to off-site locations.
May provide back-up for other departments.
Work productively with teammates in a cooperative and professional team environment to provide secure product delivery.
Assist with packaging deliveries and checking against the order form.
Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product delivery.
Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
