Production Packaging Associate
About The Position
Palmetto Gourmet Foods is seeking a Packaging Technician for its production facility in Saluda, South Carolina. The role supports production of vegetarian, halal, and kosher certified ramen noodles. The technician performs varied packaging tasks, including hand packaging, inspection, loading, palletizing, and monitoring equipment for proper operation. The position offers the opportunity to develop skills and contribute as part of a production team. Flexibility with scheduled workdays and shift preferences is required. The listed schedule is 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., three to four days per week, in 12-hour shifts. The company states that it is a drug-free workplace and provides equal employment opportunities.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Work with other packaging line technicians and machine operators to keep production lines running efficiently.
- Work in a fast, efficient, and controlled manner.
- Operate or work with automated equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Work with the team to complete tasks.
- Maintain a high standard of quality.
- Follow all safety and GMP rules.
- Follow QA instructions concerning the packing of noodles.
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Perform some heavy lifting, including boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Work as directed by management.
