About The Position

Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for Temporary Packaging Technicians to help with packaging duties for a cannabis company located 20 minutes West of Gardner, Massachusetts. These positions are expected to start on or around late-February. For workers who perform well, there is the potential for this role to convert to a permanent position. The company operates on two shifts: 1st Shift is Monday-Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, and 2nd Shift is Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing is a specialized firm serving the cannabis/hemp industry. As a Packaging Technician, your responsibilities will include measuring and packaging cannabis products, labeling them accurately, and potentially collecting samples and performing quality tests. You may also be involved in other processing tasks. While prior cannabis packaging experience is not mandatory, a strong background in adhering to strict health and safety policies and procedures is essential. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow standard operating procedures. Candidates must be able to sit, stand, twist, and kneel for up to 8 hours at a time. The ideal candidate is punctual, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to giving their best effort daily.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
Eligible to work for a licensed Cannabis company in the State of Massachusetts
Willingness to comply with OSHA regulations
Basic Computer Skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
Exceptional attention to detail
Clear communication skills
Ability to sit, stand, kneel AND twist up to 8 hours
Ability to work in a GMP environment, which includes but is not limited to wearing required PPE
