Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of related experience
Post secondary education in a related discipline
Skills in troubleshooting, strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge
Familiar with packaging equipment
Ability to navigate ambiguity and changing priorities, working independently
Able to work shift work and weekends

Responsibilities

Inspecting and maintaining all packaging machinery to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, validating machine settings for optimal operation
Cleaning, lubricating and performing routine maintenance work on machinery
Responding to breakdowns by adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
Maintaining equipment parts lists and manuals, and various logbooks
Training and mentoring team members and machine operators on effective operation of packaging machines and equipment
Working in compliance with established Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and safe work practices; reporting any concerns to your supervisor
