The RTE Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment used in the production of ready-to-eat food products. This role ensures product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient manufacturing processes while following all company and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and follow instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
  • Basic math and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or machine operation preferred
  • Knowledge of RTE food safety requirements (HACCP, USDA/FDA regulations) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Operate RTE processing and packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Monitor machines during production to ensure proper functioning and product quality
  • Perform routine adjustments and minor repairs to equipment as needed
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and issues
  • Follow all food safety guidelines, including HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation procedures
  • Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
  • Identify and report any mechanical issues, safety concerns, or quality deviations
  • Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations
