Packaging Technician II (2nd shift)
About The Position
Kamatics is seeking a Packaging Technician II (2nd shift) who is responsible for reviewing work instructions, marking and packaging parts, and ensuring products are properly labeled and prepared for shipment according to customer and company requirements. This role supports manufacturing operations by maintaining quality standards, confirming part counts, troubleshooting packaging issues, and assisting with basic assembly or finishing processes as needed. Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read and follow visual work instructions with limited technical supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be a "U.S. person" as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15), which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, or asylees, as required by U.S. export control laws.
Responsibilities
- Review work instructions and blueprints prior to production
- Set up and operate marking, labeling, and packaging equipment
- Run first-piece inspections and, once approved, complete production orders
- Confirm accurate part counts
- Bag, box, and label parts according to order requirements
- Perform basic assembly work as needed
- Paint finished parts when required
- Troubleshoot packaging and marking issues and escalate concerns when necessary
- Maintain proficiency in all marking, labeling, and packaging operations within assigned value stream
- Train new employees on packaging and marking processes
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
