About The Position

FedUp Foods, a leading functional beverage manufacturer, is seeking a Packaging Technician for its 1st Shift operations in Wilmington, NC. This role is crucial for the successful production of beverages, requiring integrity, focus, and a commitment to quality and safety. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read, write, and complete basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
  • Ability to positively work with a team to achieve production goals
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and schedule adjustments as required

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including conducting safety inspections and reporting hazards.
  • Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
  • Follow good documentation practices and complete all required paperwork.
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of packaging lines.
  • Properly operate plant equipment including Depalletizers, Fillers, Case Packers, Labelers, Case Erectors, and Case Sealers.
  • Maintain plant and workspace cleanliness.
  • Stack boxes onto pallets, verify labels, and move them to designated areas using pallet jacks or forklifts.
  • Work various positions on the packaging lines throughout the day.
  • Ensure product quality meets standards.
  • Perform daily cleaning and set-up following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect equipment, ensuring operation at established center lines and supporting autonomous maintenance.
  • Perform case flavor mixing as needed.
  • Conduct thorough deep cleaning or participate in special projects.
  • Participate in training sessions covering safety, operations, skill development, and compliance.
  • Follow GMP policy and encourage team members to do the same.
  • Understand SQF policies related to pest control, visitors, allergen management, and cleaning/sanitation.
  • Demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to SQF and contribute to food safety and quality goals.
  • Report any food quality and safety issues to the Quality Assurance Manager for investigation and resolution.
