About The Position

As a Packaging Technical Operator, you will be a key member of our manufacturing team, responsible for operating, setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting packaging equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will take ownership of your assigned work area, helping us meet production goals while following GMPs, SOPs, and established work standards. In this hands-on role, you'll solve problems, support continuous improvement efforts, maintain accurate production documentation, and share your knowledge by helping train and mentor team members, all while contributing to a culture focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in production, mechanical troubleshooting, or a related field required
  • Prior manufacturing or packaging experience, including equipment setup and changeovers, or demonstrated experience troubleshooting multiple mechanical systems
  • Must have basic computer skills: word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and the ability to create and follow detailed documentation.
  • Must have ability to follow written instructions, standard operation procedures and verbal directions accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (GMP, Pharmaceutical, food or similar) is a plus.
  • Prior work experience in manufacturing performing equipment set-up and change-overs, or similar demonstrated experience in multi-system mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with a lean organization or other prior exposure to lean concepts, tools and techniques.
  • Ability to lift 5-25 lbs. frequently and occasionally lift drums, bags and cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • This position requires the regular use of various PPE including but not limited to the following: bump cap, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and N95 or PAPR. All required PPE will be provided.
  • Team oriented and flexible, able to adapt to changing assignments
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with a desire to continuously improve own skill set.
  • Able to function productively with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Proficient, and Informance

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and monitor packaging equipment to meet safety, quality, and production targets
  • Perform equipment setup, cleaning, changeovers, and troubleshooting to support efficient operations
  • Make routine equipment adjustments and assist with maintenance activities as needed
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Follow GMP, safety, and operating procedures while maintaining accurate production documentation
  • Maintain material availability and support efficient inventory and waste management practices
  • Identify and communicate equipment or process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with team members, support training efforts, and develop proficiency across multiple work centers
