About The Position

The Packaging Team Member is responsible for the efficient operation of cheese packaging equipment and processes, including cutting, accurately filling, and securing products for shipment to customers. This role requires strong collaboration with all departments and willingness to learn and assist in other areas as needed. Safety must be practiced at all times.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Strong dependability and punctuality
Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills preferred; training provided
High school diploma or equivalent
Eagerness to learn and work in the dairy and food industry

Responsibilities

Understand and perform setup and cleanup operations of the packaging line
Accurately cut bulk cheese blocks weighing up to 50 lbs
Maintain line speed as directed by the supervisor
Inspect weight and seal integrity of retail cheese packages
Accurately package 7.5 oz to 50 lb products into appropriate boxes
Ensure proper labeling of all products per order specifications
Understand sanitation procedures within the Packaging Department
Accurately record production and quality data
Maintain open communication with all departments
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Follow all company policies and procedures
Perform all duties as assigned
