About The Position

The individual in this role supports the Packaging Supervisor in preparing sales order shipments and collaborates with the Outbound team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. This role involves working in a warehouse setting and requires the ability to work the 2nd shift, Monday - Friday, 1:45pm - 10:45pm. The Packaging Team Lead will analyze production schedules, create detailed schedule timelines, develop comprehensive process plans, and plan the flow of materials. They will also recommend measures to enhance production methods, propose changes to improve efficiency, and coordinate manpower requirements. Additionally, this role involves assisting with training, participating in a collaborative work environment, complying with safety protocols, and following 5S principles.

Requirements

Ability to work the required shift: Monday - Friday, 1:45pm - 10:45pm
Demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook
Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Exhibits experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
Has the ability to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with various departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer order deadlines.
Analyzes production schedules and estimates the required worker hours for completing job assignments.
Creates detailed schedule timelines to ensure adherence to customer shipment dates and equipment specifications.
Develops comprehensive process plans, including resource allocation, equipment utilization, and floor space considerations for each customer order.
Plans the flow of materials within the department and designs the physical layout of machines based on work orders.
Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends measures to enhance production methods, improve equipment performance, and enhance product quality.
Proposes changes in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance the efficiency of the shop, department, or work crew.
Coordinates manpower requirements by adjusting personnel levels and overtime to meet changing conditions.
Analyzes and resolves work problems independently or provides assistance to workers in solving them.
Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials as needed for production processes.
Assist with training of new and current associates.
Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture.
Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
