About The Position

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a System Operator/Valve Tech to support their Carton Filling team. This role will be responsible for repairing and maintaining all valves within the juice delivery system to the packaging fillers and assisting in minor repair and maintenance of all other equipment in the system area, i.e. Monyo pump disconnect and reconnect.

Requirements

  • Must be located in Bradenton, FL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
  • Willingness to be onsite at the manufacturing facility on a full-time basis
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for the duration of the shift, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Must be a high school graduate or hold a GED

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift license.
  • Must be able to perform transactions in SAP and Infor
  • Performs and coordinates CIP cleaning and systems area changeovers.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in operating all pasteurization, juice, and pulp systems while maintaining all of the quality standards set forth by Tropicana Brands Group.
  • Must be able to repair and maintain all valves within the juice delivery system to the packaging fillers.
  • Must be able to assist in minor repair and maintenance of all other equipment in the system area, i.e. Monyo pump disconnect and reconnect.

  • Participate in department safety audits and department walk-throughs
  • Audit work and established department processes to ensure quality of products and work performed
  • Maintain high standards and compromised integrity to protect our customers and consumers
  • Perform established Quality Control checks utilizing established and future quality tools, including ensuring all HACCP checks are completed and documentation is maintained, and all production records are completed and retained.
  • Attend all production, communication and training meetings as required by the organization and/or department leadership
  • Coordinate and collaborate with representatives from outside groups such as up and down stream department leaders and operators, safety, quality, planning, maintenance and inventory
  • Troubleshoot and investigate barriers to meeting departmental objectives and eliminate, when possible, offer solutions or take an active role in recruiting the resources necessary to remove these barriers
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and solve technical issues on the equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Demonstrate effective communication between shifts including, but not limited to, safety, quality and productivity
  • Procure the necessary resources/materials to achieve systems team success
  • Ensure management is aware of production issues and intended resolution utilizing the department established notification triggers
  • Work efficiently in software programs to complete required tasks including Infor, ZARPAC, SAP, ADC, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Be proficient in training in both classroom and OJT settings
  • Manage raw and consumable material inventory including completion of counts and receipts into SAP/ADC

  • Job may require overtime, which could include more than 40 hours per week, 7 days a week and up to 12-hour days
  • Must be able to train new Specialist 3 System Operator/Valve Tech
