About The Position

Andrew Peller Limited (APL) is seeking a proactive manufacturing professional for the role of Packaging Supervisor to join their Packaging & Quality team in Kelowna. This position offers the opportunity to deepen leadership capabilities, take on people management responsibilities, and expand operational skill sets within a stable organization. The role involves leading a unionized team of approximately 20 teammates, supporting people leadership, SOP development, and process standardization. The supervisor will gain exposure to production scheduling, operational planning, and cross-functional coordination, with opportunities to participate in continuous improvement, efficiency, and cost-optimization projects. The role is well-suited for someone with strong communication skills, curiosity, and a team-first mindset, who is interested in growing their people leadership and operational management skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including understanding the nuances of a unionized setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support unionized Packaging teammates, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations
• Host shift start meetings, engage teams, and clearly communicate daily priorities and expectations
• Address performance and quality issues directly and respectfully, reinforcing accountability and standards
• Support people management and administrative activities, including documentation and performance reviews
• Contribute to SOP creation, updates, and process standardization, partnering with leaders and training teams
• Assist with production scheduling and coordination
• Participate in continuous improvement and higher-efficiency initiatives, with increasing ownership over time
