This role is responsible for the operations of all packaging lines under the supervision of the shift supervisor. The Packaging Supervisor will supervise and coordinate activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules, and attendance. They will evaluate and recommend employees for hire or termination, and coordinate with management to ensure production activities are as efficient as possible. The supervisor will enforce company safety, break, and lunch policies, and actively seek to resolve concerns while adhering to company policy and standards of behavior. They will track and communicate employee performance, provide disciplinary/corrective action as needed, and train/coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime. The supervisor will ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition, establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace, and document downtime and lost efficiency. They will ensure quality guidelines for products are followed, enforce all FDA and company guidelines, and assist with Continuous Improvement. Maintaining LOTO certification, reviewing and assisting with quality control documents, and ensuring Food Safety of Production are also key responsibilities. The supervisor will communicate with all cross-functional shift activities from other shifts to the operations team on a daily basis and perform miscellaneous duties as required by management.
