About The Position

This role involves supervising and coordinating the operations of all packaging lines during the second shift. The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing work procedures, employee rotation, schedules, and attendance, while also evaluating employees for hire or termination. This position requires close coordination with management to ensure production efficiency, enforcement of company policies (including safety, break, and lunch policies), and active resolution of employee concerns. The supervisor will track and communicate employee performance, provide disciplinary actions, and train/coach operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency and minimize downtime. Ensuring equipment is operational, establishing tasks for a clean workplace, documenting downtime, and adhering to quality guidelines, FDA, and company standards are key responsibilities. The role also includes assisting with Continuous Improvement, maintaining LOTO certification, reviewing quality control documents, ensuring food safety, and communicating cross-functional shift activities. Miscellaneous duties as required by management are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in giving direction to employees
  • Must have experience in operating and diagnosing equipment

  • Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies
  • Mathematical skills
  • Bilingual is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance
  • Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
  • Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
  • Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
  • Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
  • Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
  • Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
  • Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
  • Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
  • Document down time and lost efficiency
  • Ensure quality guide lines for products are followed
  • Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain LOTO certification
  • Review and assist with all quality control documents
