About The Position

This position operates all packaging lines under the supervision of the shift supervisor. The role involves supervising and coordinating activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules, and attendance. The supervisor will evaluate and recommend employees for hire or termination, coordinate with management to ensure efficient production activities, and enforce company safety, break, and lunch policies. The role requires actively resolving concerns while adhering to company policy and standards of behavior, tracking and communicating employee performance, and providing disciplinary/corrective action as needed. Additionally, the supervisor will train and coach operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime, ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition, establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace, and document downtime and lost efficiency. The position also involves ensuring quality guidelines for products are followed, enforcing all FDA and company guidelines, assisting with Continuous Improvement, maintaining LOTO certification, reviewing and assisting with quality control documents, and ensuring the Food Safety of Production. Communication with cross-functional shift activities from other shifts to the operations team on a daily basis is required, along with performing miscellaneous duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment
