About The Position

We are searching for the best talent for a Packaging Supervisor, 3rd Shift to be in Gurabo, Puerto Rico! This role is knowledgeable in the supply chain and a process-centered organization with responsibility for ensuring integration of tasks/activities and associates across the whole process. Maintains and further vigilance of business rules, credo values, and end-state vision. Ensures process aligns with cGMP’s, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; focused degree in Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of cGMP’s and compliance
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental and labor procedures
  • Proficient in Spanish and English, written and verbally
  • Excellent organizational, management, and people development skills.
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills to build interdependent partnerships
  • Prepare effective presentations to employees and management.
  • Work in teams and independently.
  • Make decisions and work with precision at a fast pace
  • Must be able to support a 3rd shift (10:00pm- 6:30am) operation
  • This position requires working various schedules, which may include first, second, and third shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, irregular shifts, frequently requires working extended hours, and might be required to work on holidays and weekends.
  • Requires physical strength to occasionally lift or carry objects up to 10 pounds in weight

Responsibilities

  • Development and coordination of production associates to ensure attainment to the business plan and area Key Performance Indicators.
  • Initiates and monitors process deviations records.
  • Directly supervises non-exempts and temporary employees.
  • Provides mentorship and coach associates on the supply chain process.
  • Works with the different support departments and Resources to troubleshoot and resolve process and technical problems.
  • Ensure the cleaning and preparation of packaging equipment.
  • Monitors and measure process performance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Responsible for the orderly flow across shift to the next.
  • May have external contact with suppliers, contractors, and personnel of other J&J companies.
