About The Position

The Packaging Specialist manages and leads projects focused on the development of new packaging systems, optimization and harmonization of existing packaging systems, and the monitoring of costs and technical performance. This role operates within the framework of fixed objectives and ISO environmental norms. The position is a fix-term contract of 12 months.

Requirements

• 5-10 years in packaging experience.
• Able to technically challenge and support the team of 3 packaging specialists.
• Able to be part of New Product Introduction (NPI) projects development for quick assessment and support.
• Able to coordinate the activities of the platform (NPI resource allocation and requests from OPS and Sales) and to align with the management.
• Awareness of PPWR for guidance during the period.
• English mandatory.

• German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop a guidance for design rules and standard packaging solutions which can be adapted to the whole product portfolio.
• During the creation stage of the packaging prototype, draw up the specifications: technical requirements, scheduling, resources and budgetary aspects.
• Steer the project in terms of completion time, human resources and materials, technical tests, development costs, while respecting regulations.
• Draw up, carry out and have performed the necessary packaging trials to prove the quality of the completed developments and prepare the qualification of the elements linked to these developments.
• Define the qualification specifications as well as the qualification tests and parameters.
• Monitor technical development on the market and packaging suppliers.
• Manage a technical network transversally on all SSB sites relevant to his/her specialisation.
