About The Position

Groundworks Industries is seeking a Packaging Specialist for their Cannabis Confection Kitchen. This role is responsible for ensuring all product is packaged in accordance with standard operating procedures, meets company quality standards, and maintains efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. The Packaging Specialist will work closely with production team members and contribute to the overall production plan.

Requirements

All cannabis industry employees must be age 21 or older and hold or obtain a valid OLCC Marijuana Handler's permit.
Candidates must have an up-to-date Food Handlers Card.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in food production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors and, in some instances, staircases.
Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise due to public conversations and the gathering of people, etc.
Ability to do repetitive physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

Cannabis industry, warehouse or food manufacturing experience
Familiarity with cannabis tracking systems and OLCC rules

Responsibilities

Supporting packaging and inventory management efforts with tasks ranging from stickering to boxing and counting edibles into packaging.
Supporting edibles production by assisting with set up and break down of the kitchen and post manufacturing processing of edible products.
Partnering with a team of cannabis confection professionals to complete the production plan by following scheduled assignments, accomplishing work tasks, and following established priorities.
Following all written work instructions including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and other instructions as needed.
