About The Position

The Packaging Specialist will ensure the smooth operation of the Greenville Facility by making adjustments during production runs, utilizing quality tools to meet product standards, and contributing to the company's mission of creating a safer, stronger, and more sustainable Sauer Brands. The role involves understanding equipment functions, performing quality checks, accurately tracking lot information, and maintaining high standards of safety and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). The specialist will also be responsible for keeping work areas clean, properly stacking boxes, applying labels and lids, and completing palletizing sheets and labels.

Requirements

Must be detail oriented.
Able to walk & stand during most of a 10-hour shift.
Quality driven, Self-motivated, and willing to learn.
Dependable & punctual.
Able to lift 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Machine Operating Experience preferred.
Familiar with: Production ID, and Production Schedules

Responsibilities

Perform quality checks (code dates, seal integrity, and correct labeling) on a predetermined schedule as needed or assigned by leadership.
Ensure lot ID information is tracked accurately and all paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
Increase effectiveness and cross-train where needed to promote line effectiveness.
Maintain high standards regarding company policy involving SAFETY and GMPs.
Participate in Toolbox talks incorporating stretching. Promote Safe Start principles and near-miss reporting to further the improvement of safety in the plant.
Keep work areas orderly and clean.
Demonstrate ability to properly stack boxes and apply labels and lids.
Accurately complete Palletizing Sheets and print labels.
