About The Position

The Packaging Shift Supervisor provides strategic operational oversight for production operating facilities, with a moderate presence in multiple regions or a moderate degree of complexity. The role holds facilities accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. It is based in Saint Clair, Michigan, and includes 12-hour rotating night shifts. The supervisor may also perform the same tasks as team employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the plant.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in production and warehouse management.
• SAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations of the assigned area and ensure direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are met.
• Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines.
• Administer a production budget for a department, process, or shift; execute purchase orders and ensure timely payment of invoices.
• Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across production processes, departments, and shifts.
• Develop, supervise, and coach direct reports, including coaching on company core values and guiding principles.
• Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
• Perform tasks alongside employees on the team.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
