About The Position

This is a full-time Manual Packaging Supervisor position for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, from 3:00 am to 11:30 am. The role involves supervising team members in the packaging room to produce boxed and bagged kits of industrial fasteners in large volumes according to accurate customer specifications. This includes selecting correct package sizes, applying custom labeling, and preparing pallets for delivery. The job requires repetitive work, significant lifting, and prolonged standing. The supervisor will mentor team members and ensure adherence to production demands and quality control processes.

Requirements

  • Must be able to supervise team members.
  • Competent in basic mental arithmetic.
  • Must have capacity to learn products from visual and part number references.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly throughout shift.
  • Must be deadline and accuracy oriented.
  • Team work ethic required.
  • Can do positive attitude is a must.

  • Experience of packing room and kitting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise packaging room team members.
  • Produce boxed and bagged kits of industrial fasteners by hand in large volumes to accurate customer specifications.
  • Select correct package sizes and add customer bespoke labeling.
  • Collate kits and packets, make up boxes, and package up pallets of product for delivery.
  • Keep the area clear of unnecessary product and packaging items.
  • Assemble kits by hand in line with customer demand and ITP needs or as directed by the packaging lead.
  • Select the correct product components to assemble kits accurately.
  • Hold team members accountable.
  • Lead, mentor, and follow packaging procedures.
  • Count and/or measure the correct number of each part required for each kit by hand or by use of scales.
  • Create the number of kits required for each order.
  • Assemble kits safely, accurately, and productively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Create kits in line with the productivity level and output expected.
  • Double check kits are correct with departmental QC processes and own double checking methods.
  • Create, select, and apply correct labels to each kit for kit identification.
  • Select and use the correct box size, bag size, or skin pack for each kit.
  • Form boxes and secure by staple or tape with gapless seals.
  • Seal bags and skin packs fully once packed.
  • Create skin pack kits in line with design.
  • Meet productivity levels as set by the packaging lead or packaging manager.
  • Work on your own kit end to end or as part of a team effort.
  • Achieve weekly/daily/monthly/annual sales targets and goals individually or as a team.
  • Answer the internal department telephone, reply to internal emails, and view documents on the department’s single PC.
  • Communicate in person with department employees, own manager, and other ITP Brea employees.
