About The Position

The Packaging Room Service Person maintains departmental supply needs to support efficient operations and fills in on various production-line operations as needed. The role involves supplying packaging materials, labeling and stamping boxes, packing and palletizing finished products, and maintaining a clean and orderly supply area. The position is based primarily in a plant environment with wet or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and loud production-area noise. Hearing protection is always required. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m.

Requirements

Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Vision of at least 20/40 for near and far vision.
Hearing protection is required in the production area.
Complete mandatory training/competencies: proper lifting, PIT, Elevator, Lockout/Tagout/Try Authorized, ionizing radiation, and PPE.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain and provide departmental supplies to support maximum efficiency, and fill in on various operations as needed.
Stamp and label boxes according to specifications.
Keep the supply area neat, clean, and orderly.
Supply the production line with paper, cartons, and other packaging supplies.
Serve as a backup operator on various line operations as required.
Pack and palletize finished products.
Count boxed products.
Remove by-product from the line and run it through the dicer as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader and Supervisor.
