About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Packaging/Processing Utility to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Weekend Day Shift. As a Packaging/Processing Utility, this candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring extruder and related equipment for cheese curls and balls production lines. This position works Friday-Sunday from 6:00AM - 6:00PM.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain tow motor license and lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with speeds set by the machines.
Must adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices and responsible to follow all safety rules.
Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
Ability to read and match item codes.

Responsibilities

Prepares and operates popcorn processing, mixers and slurry application machinery.
Performs quality checks to ensure products are within established limits.
Operates labeling, banding/sealing, barrel filling equipment.
Verifies barrel weights and ensures proper code on labels.
Operates form and fill packing machines and equipment including scales and printers.
Performs daily end-of-shift cleaning.
Enters component usage into computer.
