About The Position

Our Packaging & Processing Supervisor is primarily responsible for assisting in driving the automated and manual trimming processes as well as packaging of finished goods. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining compliance in both the trim and packaging locations, assisting the packaging team with any tasks related to the bagging machine, assisting trim in meeting production goals, and the accurate entry of all METRC and Acumatica transactions. The Packaging & Processing Supervisor will assist in guiding the trim and packaging team effectively in a high-paced and demanding environment and supervise the day-to-day trim and packaging processes in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • For legal reasons, all employees need to be at least 21 years of age.
  • You will be asked to pass a Federal and State criminal history background check.
  • We ask that you have at least a high school diploma/GED.
  • We ask that you have a minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
  • We ask that you have excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve, personal integrity, and business acumen.
  • We ask that you have at least three (3) years of industry experience, preferably trimming and/or packaging experience.
  • We ask that you have at least one (1) year of METRC and ERP system experience.
  • We ask that you have at least two (2) years of data entry experience.
  • We ask that you do not have allergies to plant materials or nitrile gloves; this position requires daily exposure to cannabis plants and nitrile gloves.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Responsible for following all standard operating procedures (SOP) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties.
  • Supervise the trim and packaging teams and ensure all team members are following all standard operating procedures (SOP) operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information, and policies when performing duties. Report back to management any and all issues relating to the above.
  • Manicuring the buds after curing.
  • Dispensing bucked cannabis buds to trimmers.
  • Overseeing QA/ trim process to ensure appropriate technique and quality control.
  • Accurately recording finished weight of trim and trim buds.
  • Analyzes data collected during each the trim and packaging processes to prevent divergence.
  • Completes hard copy production logs on Go Canvas for each phase to be used for METRC and Acumatica support.
  • Tracks the production speed of individual associates.
  • Overseeing cleaning of trim stations and scale machines in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate equipment maintenance and cleaning logs.
  • Verify start and weight of the source package, as well as piece count for all unit-based inventory.
  • Confirm all packaging is compliant prior to transportation; verify that all products are labeled and sealed properly with all required information.
  • Complete all METRC and Acumatica data entry in real time following process completion.
  • Lab testing batch and R&D sample creations.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, guiding teams to achieve optimal results.
  • Understand and own every aspect of the team's performance; set targets, drive execution, and hold the team accountable for both individual and team results.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Human Resources Department and appropriate partners to implement and manage the company's policies and procedures.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Department to monitor staff performance, provide timely feedback, along with development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance evaluations, and administer salary adjustments.
  • Retain and develop top performers by understanding individual's motivations and providing actionable feedback.
  • Addresses low performance quickly, compassionately, and in alignment with company policies.
  • Manage employee's scheduling, basic time off requests, performance reviews, etc.
  • All other duties as necessary.
