About The Position

The Packaging Operator is responsible for the packaging and crating of customer products according to their specific requirements. This role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow verbal or written instructions. The position also involves operating a scale and maintaining a sterile environment.

Requirements

• Ability to perform work of a recurring nature requiring mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to lift 35 lbs continuously.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk or bend as needed.
• Ability to push carts without assistance.
• Ability to properly communicate with co-workers and Supervisors.
• Must be organized, able to read, write and communicate effectively.
• Must pay close attention to detail and understand quality standards.
• Able to correctly monitor and use gauges, machines and equipment.
• Able to utilize Excel.
• Able to read work orders/daily production schedules.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Must be able to use hands and arms continuously.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and remain focused at all times.
• Must be at work on time, and ready to begin working at the start of shift each day.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively.
• Regularly required to stand, bend, sit or kneel.
• Continuously required to use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle, or feel objects and controls.
• Regularly required to walk, talk and hear.
• Must regularly lift 35 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• Six months manufacturing related experience.
• At least one year experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Package and crate products according to verbal or written instructions.
• Operate a scale.
• Maintain a sterile environment, including changing gloves continuously.
• Work safely and stay focused at all times.
• Accurately fill out appropriate paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
