About The Position

This is a contract position for a Packaging Operator on the 1st shift, with an urgent need. The role involves the manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products for a Medical Device Company. The operator will ensure finished products are packaged according to procedures and quality specifications, inspect in-process packaging and components, and maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing activities. The position also includes performing simple mathematical calculations, assisting with inventory counts, participating in safety audits, performing routine cleaning, and handling hazardous waste as appropriate.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • A minimum of 6 months of industry work experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Good documentation practices.
  • Willingness and ability to work a flexible work schedule including static or rotating shifts and overtime as required.
  • Familiarity with computers and various software for general business functionality.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products.
  • Perform finished product packaging to meet customer, internal, clinical, and other demands.
  • Ensure finished product is packaged in accordance with procedures and Quality specifications.
  • Inspect in-process packaging and components to ensure consistent quality and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of manufacturing activities related to product packaging, including device history records and inventory counts.
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations for batch records.
  • Assist with inventory counting activities.
  • Participate in safety audits and engage in daily safety discussions/observations.
  • Perform routine cleaning of packaging station and processing equipment.
  • Abide by all personal protective equipment and product contamination control (gowning) requirements.
  • Handle hazardous waste as appropriate.
