About The Position

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. The Packaging Operator is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the blister and cartooning lines. Key responsibilities include verifying and stocking components, operating machinery within assigned zones, and inspecting packaged products for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Adhering to company rules and directions given by the Line Leader or Backup Leader
Assisting Material Handlers in bringing scheduled components to the blistering or cartoning lines
Verifying components upon entry to the line and stocking components to be used according to the lowest lot number first
Reviewing packaging specification and pick slip during start-up to assure product is being packaged as specified
Proper operation of machines in assigned zone
Communicating to Line Leader and/or Backup Line Leader any issues pertaining to the quality of the product, safety concerns and machinery malfunctions
Fostering a teamwork environment by supporting and respecting peers
Assisting in monitoring and training new employees for On The Job Training (OJT)
Ensuring the line is always well maintained, clean and clutter-free throughout the day
Providing 100% inspection of labeled bottles, IFC’s, blisters and master shippers for the correct Lot # and expiration date
Cleaning up zone area first during changeovers and upon completion assisting fellow coworkers with their zones in order to expedite the changeover
Counting returns and rejects by weight or physical count
Delivering returns to the reconciliation area and placing components in the specified area
