About The Position

Barilla is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join their pasta-making team at their manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring pasta products are packaged safely, accurately, and efficiently, contributing to the production of quality food for families. The Packaging Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring automated packaging equipment, performing machine set-ups and adjustments, inspecting products for quality, troubleshooting minor equipment issues, and performing routine checks. The role also involves maintaining food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety standards, keeping the work area clean, and collaborating with other teams to optimize line performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment and production lines
  • Perform machine set-ups, adjustments, and changeovers for different products and package sizes
  • Inspect packaged products to ensure quality, coding accuracy, and proper sealing
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate larger concerns as needed
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, quality, and workplace safety requirements
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to support sanitation standards
  • Work closely with maintenance, quality, and production teams to maximize line performance
