About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. 3M INDIANAPOLIS, IN seeking a candidate for PACKAGING OPERATOR III. Full- time: 12hr rotating shifts-Days & night shifts available. The person hired for the position of PACKAGING OPERATOR III will work at our INDIANAPOLIS, IN 3M plant site. As a PACKAGING OPERATOR III you will have will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties: Operating automated assembly machines to pack out products Maintaining quality standards and safety standards Utilizing 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles Maintaining communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws.
  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed prior to start)
  • Work Rotating Shifts, Overtime, Extended Hours, Weekends, Holidays as needed, and short notice shift coverage
  • Minimum two (2) months of operating production machinery or CNC equipment in a private public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience working with production machinery or CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Operating automated assembly machines to pack out products
  • Maintaining quality standards and safety standards
  • Utilizing 3M Computer systems to track production and packaging cycles
  • Maintaining communication with production coworkers and supervisors regarding production performance
  • Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.
