About The Position

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Packaging Operator I. In this role, you will be part of one of the world's most essential industries and have the opportunity to grow within a global business. This position focuses on efficiently operating packaging lines according to established procedures and customer specifications, while meeting all quality standards. You will also oversee the activities of associates assigned to specific packing areas/products and ensure all safety, environmental, and quality guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities

  • Repack products into appropriate containers, boxes, or packaging materials per work instructions.
  • Inspect products for damage, defects, or inconsistencies before repackaging.
  • Ensure proper quantities, labeling, and packaging standards are met.
  • Seal, label, and prepare finished repacked products for storage or shipment.
  • Follow all quality control guidelines and visual standards.
  • Verify product codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
  • Report damaged or non-conforming materials to supervisors.
  • Maintain high accuracy to prevent shipping or inventory errors.
  • Transport materials to and from repack stations as needed.
  • Assist with staging products for shipping or storage.
  • Load and unload materials manually or using equipment (if trained).
  • Keep repacking area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Dispose of packaging waste properly and recycle when applicable.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Package product into bags, boxes, or totes per customer specifications.
  • Document quality checks and enter into the system.
  • Read and disseminate information on the product specifications and packaging requirements.
  • Assist in training new associates and cross-training backup associates.
  • Pull product samples and test product mix, labeling and or weight against specs.
  • Follow all safety, environmental and quality guidelines.
  • Must be able to perform all duties of packaging operator II.
  • Maintain housekeeping duties around packaging equipment and in warehouse.
  • Responsible for lockout/tagout of equipment when clearing jams or performing basic maintenance.
  • Perform basic adjustments to operating equipment to maintain finished product conformity to specs.
