About The Position

As we open our new Texas plant, we are seeking a Mechanical Packaging Supervisor to establish and lead our mechanical packaging operations. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys building teams, developing processes, solving technical challenges, and driving operational excellence in a growing facility. The Mechanical Packaging Supervisor will play a critical role in supporting production schedules, ensuring product quality, developing team members, and establishing the standards and processes that will support the long-term success of Fidelity Manufacturing's newest operation. This position provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping build a culture centered on safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years of mechanical manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or related industrial experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes and manufacturing practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Experience coordinating production schedules and workforce activities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coach, train, and develop employees.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.

Nice To Haves

  • Generator packaging, power generation, or industrial equipment assembly experience.
  • Commercial generator experience.
  • Experience with fuel systems, exhaust systems, piping, rigging, and generator installations.
  • Experience leading manufacturing teams in a fabrication or assembly environment.
  • Forklift and material handling equipment experience.
  • Experience supporting startup operations, facility expansions, or new manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Technical school, trade school, or vocational education in a mechanical, industrial, or related field.
  • Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience with quality systems, ISO standards, and production reporting.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Mechanical Packaging employees to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability standards for team members.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of future Packaging personnel.
  • Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources to support production goals.
  • Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to employees.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Conduct performance discussions, coaching, and skill development activities.
  • Manage daily Mechanical Packaging production schedules and communicate operational priorities.
  • Coordinate workflow with Production, Fabrication, Shipping, Quality, and Operations teams.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust resources as needed to maintain schedule commitments.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput and efficiency.
  • Support startup activities, process development, and operational improvements within the Texas facility.
  • Oversee the preparation of tanks and enclosures for generator assembly.
  • Ensure proper installation of fuel systems, exhaust systems, piping, generators, vents, breakers, battery systems, filters, and related accessories.
  • Support safe and effective rigging, lifting, and material handling activities.
  • Ensure employees properly interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify proper assembly techniques, fitment, installation quality, and workmanship standards.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and assembly-related issues when required.
  • Support continuous improvement of departmental processes and assembly methods.
  • Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Monitor workmanship and product quality throughout production processes.
  • Review and maintain required quality documentation and inspection records.
  • Investigate quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in root cause analysis activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization efforts.
  • Drive consistency through standardized work instructions and best practices.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the department.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety observations and address unsafe conditions promptly.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and established safe work practices.
  • Support safety training, incident investigations, and corrective action activities.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and company operational procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for safe and responsible work practices.
