About The Position

Flora Food Group is seeking a Packaging Manager to drive growth through innovation within the CPG industry. This role is crucial for establishing a green global environment by focusing on packaging material, shape, and usage. The successful candidate will work closely with regional and global technical teams to deliver the plant cheese agenda and innovation roadmap, ensuring Flora Food Group remains at the forefront of packaging innovation. This position involves deploying the regional packaging strategy across the plant cheese portfolio, overseeing new packaging initiatives, and ensuring packaging excellence across the supply base. The role requires incorporating the full end-to-end development of plant cheese and dairy packaging activities, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders. The individual will be expected to bring new insights, approaches, and innovative technologies to strengthen the packaging function, recognizing its critical role in FFG's brand portfolio and overall business growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to work autonomously
• Managerial role (not managing people)
• Strong communication skills with all areas, including marketing and supply chain; ability to link teams.
• A passion for packaging
• 3+ years of experience in Packaging R&D
• Considerable experience in packaging and product development
• Experience in FMCG is essential
• An entrepreneurial spirit with an appetite for exploring new and previously uncharted territories
• Openness to change and challenge
• Ability to think differently and unconventionally
• Demonstrated skill in managing packaging / product innovation
• Demonstrated skill in the identification, development, and delivery of impactful business and consumer optimized structural and functional packaging / product innovations
• Understanding of the product development process, including management of key partners (design and engineering consultancies, toolmakers, and material converters)
• Strong understanding of the role of the consumer and brand
• Ability to balance consumer/brand needs alongside commercial business requirements and technical constraints of manufacturing processes
• Expansive breadth of understanding and passion for all areas of packaging from trends and creative innovation to execution and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Manage agreed packaging projects to devise and deliver the regional plant cheese packaging road map.
• Lead projects driving margin improvement while ensuring ongoing compliance of the packaging portfolio.
• Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Supply, Procurement, R&D, Quality) and key external partners globally to effectively drive packaging projects.
• Oversee and manage new packaging initiatives.
• Ensure packaging excellence across the extensive Supply Base.
• Incorporate the full End to End development of plant cheese and Dairy packaging activities.
• Bring new insights, approaches, and innovative technologies to the business.
• Oversee packaging/products in market, maintaining and growing existing base business, and driving productivity and cost optimization.
