About The Position

The PMO position is responsible for the operation of assigned packaging equipment while meeting and exceeding all safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Know basic math
• Accurately record information on required documentation
• Successfully speak, read and write English
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Able to stand for duration of the shift (8 hours or more)
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push/pull/lift, bend/twist, stoop
• Able to climb stairs or step up onto a platform several times during the shift
• Able to work in noisy, wet, and cold environment, approx 34 degrees
• Able to work 6 or more consecutive days including overtime, any shift, late nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Vietnamese
• Previous experience operating flexible packaging

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machine equipment efficiently
• Properly set up & breakdown packaging machines with no guidance
• Follow SOP's to ensure quality products are being produced
• Troubleshoot and work through problems
• Proactively report problems or potential problems immediately
• Select and verify correct bagger and scale recipes are being used
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely
• Follow all food safety and quality requirements
• Work safely and follow all basic safety guidelines to help prevent accidents
• Communicate well to co-workers and Supervision
• Occasionally direct others (i.e. Packers, etc)
