Requirements

  • Ability to work through problems to find root causes and address issues for Mechanical and Automation Equipment.
  • Basic computer skills required to run production.
  • Effectively manage own time.
  • Complete changeovers in allotted time.
  • Plan breaks around lulls in activity.
  • Move, twist, or lift up to 60lbs and team lift 75 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Be on feet for twelve (12+) hours.
  • Keep up with a fast, repetitious pace.
  • Perform repetitious lifting.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-5 years machine operator or maintenance apprentice experience preferred.
  • Be flexible for the training period.
  • Be available for pre-shift meetings when applicable.
  • Able to work weekends and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Running, changing over, efficiency and quality of 3-5 packaging machines.
  • Communicating changes and plans to Team Members in immediate area and supervision.
  • Performing a required set of tasks on a computer at specific times throughout the shift.
  • Set up and operation of packaging equipment.
  • Following precise recipes and work procedures.
  • Monitoring and adjusting variables.
  • Performing product quality tests and data collection.
  • Reacting to direction from quality assurance and management personnel.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing throughout the day.
  • Use of hand tools.
