About The Position
This position requires that the employee stand in a central location for long periods of time to operate and maintain machine. The role includes operating and maintaining machinery, making necessary machine changes for tube sizes, daily cleaning of machines, staying knowledgeable on piping systems, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing set-up and changeovers on filling machines, ensuring correct materials are used, and researching/recommending product improvements. The position also requires the ability to demonstrate and learn across all machines (Level 8).
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Minimum of six (6) months related experience and / or training in a manufacturing / production environment.
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
Responsibilities
- Keep machine running continuously.
- Make all necessary machine changes to accommodate the size of tubes being produced.
- Clean machine daily.
- Stay current and knowledgeable on piping system.
- Trouble-shoot any problems that may arise with the equipment.
- Perform set-up and change over on all filling machines.
- Make sure appropriate materials are in the right machines.
- Research and recommend product improvements
- Ability to Demonstrate and learn the following levels: Level 8 (Including knowledge of previous levels) - Line Operation (across all machines)
- Maintain clean and safe work space
- Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor
