About The Position

Precision Record Pressing is a leading vinyl record pressing company with multiple locations in the Greater Toronto Area. We are currently looking for a PACKAGING LINE COORDINATOR to join our OAKVILLE team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that will support the Packaging department by overseeing the shift and ensuring projects on the line run smoothly. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment! This position operates on a weekly rotation of day (7am-3pm) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shift basis and is eligible for shift premium.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in supervising a team of people
  • Previous experience in preparing and reviewing packaging documentation required
  • Proficiency in Google Business and Microsoft Suites, specifically Google Sheets, required.
  • High degree of confidentiality and extensive attention to detail required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of job

  • Must be capable of working in stressful situations in times of need
  • Must be able to work overtime as business needs require
  • Candidates must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to submit a clear Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to start date.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the packaging team on shift
  • Provide relief coverage for sleeving operations
  • Ensure packaging projects are completed timely and accurately
  • Maintains Precision Record Pressing high quality standards on the line and general good housekeeping protocols on the packaging floor
  • Logging packaging journals for projects completed on the floor
  • Support the packaging operations to achieve productivity targets
  • Plan an effective and efficient schedule of labour for each project
  • Provide daily feedback to workers on performance through coaching and on the job training to improve efficiencies and standardize techniques
  • Prepare KPI data for management
  • Maintains necessary departmental documentation and logs
  • Performs QA sampling during assembly
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure packaging demands are met
  • Responding to e-mails as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Team Leader or designate
