As a Packaging Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Design and develop primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Select packaging materials such as corrugated boxes, plastics, foam, paper, and films. Reduce packaging costs while maintaining product protection. Support new product launches by supporting new packaging specifications. Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate new materials and packaging technologies. Lead continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives. Responsibilities of this position include that corporate policies, procedures and security standards are complied with while performing assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering or science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) OR High School Diploma/GED AND four (4) years of packaging, product, or manufacturing engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with packaging design, manufacturing processes, and package testing activities
  • Experience working with packaging materials and distribution environments
  • Experience using CAD software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience applying analytical and project management approaches to support packaging-related projects and initiatives
  • Experience communicating technical information to stakeholders through verbal discussions, presentations, and written documentation
  • Experience developing packaging artwork
  • Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment
  • Experience performing packaging validation activities and applying testing standards, such as ASTM and ISTA
