The person in this role will work from the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, MN. This role may require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. The Packaging Engineer is an individual contributor within our technical organization supporting our Cardiac Rhythm Management business, focused on supporting the development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions for new and existing medical technologies. This role offers hands on exposure to the full product lifecycle, from early design concepts through validation, launch, and post market support. In this position, you will contribute to cross functional projects that advance packaging technologies, improve system performance, and ensure compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and supply chain partners to deliver robust, compliant packaging solutions that protect product integrity and support patient safety. Requirements

  • 0+ years of experience with a bachelor’s or advanced degree

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Medtronic experience
  • Package Engineering experience/background
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of computers and have experience with Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
  • Labeling System and Medical Device experience.

Responsibilities

  • Development of package labels, packaging components and assemblies for medical devices.
  • Supports verification, validation, and implementation of package systems into manufacturing.
  • Continuation activities required to support product labeling, testing and overall compliance requirements.
  • Familiarization with working in a regulated environment.
  • Documentation activities associated with the qualification and release of package designs and specifications.
  • Coordination and communication of packaging technology and designs with project teams as part of the phase review development process.
  • Documentation activities associated with Bill of Materials/final package configurations.
