Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline or related field
- Knowledge in packaging design or engineering
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good communication skills: verbal, written and presentations

Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Packaging, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 2 years of packaging Experience experience
- Experience with CAD systems
Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging materials, solutions and processes to meet product and marketing requirements, customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
- Responsible for all approvals and improvements of supplier packaging during SCR
- Responsible for all approvals and improvements of Customer packaging during NPL
- Drive continuous improvement on packaging designs (cost, quality, density, stack ability) and standardization on customer & supplier side
- Standardization of sizes & variants of all packaging materials (cardboard, totes, pallets, etc.)
- Planning and review of total cost of packaging material (budget planning)
- Key contact and support for all topics regarding packaging for plant NBT
- Entry point for packaging topics for BA, NPM PUR & SCMA
- Supplier management of packaging suppliers
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the supply chain
- Effectively communicate across a wide variety of internal and external customers – crisp, clear, continuous communication
- Utilize and maintain systems (SAP, Supply On, Customer portals, etc.)
- Maintain awareness of trends and technologies at the forefront of packaging.
- Additional mechanical design work as necessary

- Maintains the highest level of integrity and treats associates fairly & equitably, Leads by example.
- Ensure individual and team compliance to established policies and procedures

- Develop and follow Standard Work practices
- Ensure individual (and assist with departmental) 5S+1, Quality, Delivery, Kaizen and Cost goals
