Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Experience with manufacturing methodology
  • Experience with packaging design systems
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support multiple major production programs, by creating and maintaining work instructions for the packaging and shipment of end items, design, and detailing of special material handling equipment and shipping containers utilizing CREO design software.
  • Determine adequate packaging for incoming hardware, supporting various products and upper-level assemblies.
  • Oversee projects from development to implementation and strive to incorporate safe, ergonomic, error-proofed, and innovative solutions into the factory.
  • Develop and maintain special packaging instructions and drawings meeting Military and Best Commercial standards.
  • Create package designs using 3D CAD for protective cushioned packs, corrugated and wood designs, and vacuum formed plastics.
  • Team with Product, Manufacturing and Logistics Engineering along with Traffic, Safety and EHS to ensure deliverables are achieved on time and with value.
