About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on metrics, coaching, and cross-functional alignment to own performance across Conversion, Flexographic Printing, Security, and Rewind. This role is crucial for driving OEE improvements, reducing waste, and elevating team capability. Through this position, company policies and practices are translated into daily action. Product quality and operational efficiency hinge on your technical knowledge, problem-solving, and decision-making.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, including 3+ years leading production teams.
  • Experience in at least one: flexographic printing, film conversion, rewind operations, bag making, flexible packaging manufacturing.
  • Continuous improvement background preferred; adept at scheduling, deadlines, and prioritization.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication; effective in conflict resolution and employee relations.
  • Organized planner with mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Comfortable with data analysis and KPI management; proficient in ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Office.

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with safety first: Set expectations for safety behaviors and policies; ensure Novolex safety training is completed on time. Investigate and communicate accidents with the Plant Manager, Operations Manager, HR Manager, Safety Manager, and others.
  • Protect food and consumer safety: Model GMPs; encourage reporting and immediate action when product safety could be impacted.
  • Run world-class operations: Direct daily work in Conversion, Flexographic Printing, Rewind, and Security to hit schedule, quality, and service targets. Track and improve key KPIs: Throughput; Waste & Scrap; OEE; Changeover Times; Labor Efficiency; Downtime. Balance staffing and resources to meet demand; conduct daily production meetings and clearly communicate priorities.
  • Drive audits and improvements: Participate in audits; execute corrective actions; lead Lean and continuous improvement projects.
  • Build high-performing teams: Coach supervisors and operators; complete performance reviews and development plans. Support hiring, onboarding, training, and succession; foster accountability, teamwork, respect, and engagement.
  • Own the financials: Manage labor and operating budgets; control costs via waste reduction and process improvements. Monitor material usage variance and related cost metrics; contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate across the plant: Partner with Production Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Training, and HR to meet objectives.
  • Other duties as needed.
