About The Position

KENT WORLDWIDE™ is proud to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Consumer Brands division as a Packaging Associate at our New Sharon, IA Location. The Packaging Associate performs repetitive work station operations in the Packaging Department. This position is designed and intended to be performed in New Sharon, IA.

Requirements

Ability to train production workers
Ability to run equipment and follow KCBA Core Procedures
Ability to assist and cover for the Packaging Operator
Maintain GMPs
Ability to package the required quantity of cases and/or bags
Ability to maintain all documents such as pre-op checklist, pack sheets, metal detectors, lot numbers, etc.
Ability to review daily production requirements with supervisors
Ability to package products in a clean environment at specified weights with correct lot numbers
Ability to refer to set-up sheets for production requirements
Ability to ensure packaging materials are in acceptable condition and quality
Ability to review daily needs for packaging materials with Warehouse Lead
Ability to coordinate documentation of finished goods

Responsibilities

Train production workers to perform their required duties. This includes running the equipment and following KCBA Core Procedures
Assists and covers for the Packaging Operator in his absence
Maintain GMP`s
Package the quantity of cases and/or bags as required by the schedule
Maintain all documents such as pre-op checklist, pack sheets, metal detectors, lot numbers, etc.
Review daily production requirements with the Production Supervisor and or Plant Manager
Package products in a clean environment, at the specified weights, and with the correct and legible lot number as per Core Procedures
Refer to set-up sheets for production requirements
Make sure that all packaging materials used film, boxes, valve bags, pallets etc. are in acceptable condition and quality.
Review with the Warehouse Lead the daily needs for boxes, film, pallets, etc.
Coordinate documentation of finished goods sent to the warehouse
Other duties as manager sees fit
