About The Position

Conagra Brands is hiring for Packaging Associates on their 1st shift at their manufacturing facility in Kent, WA. This role involves rotating through various Production Specialist positions, focusing on counting, stacking, and monitoring product flow and quality. The associate will also perform quality checks, operate taping machines, and ensure adherence to safety, food safety (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Training will be provided for cleaning chemicals, PPE, equipment cleaning and sanitizing, ladder safety, and water/drain management. The position requires meeting plant work standards, maintaining regular attendance, and contributing to a positive team environment. Communication of food safety concerns and accountability for one's work are also key aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Must understand safety/Food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
  • Must follow plant work standards, high quality and productivity standards per plant requirements.
  • Must maintain and regular attendance per company policy.
  • Meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others.
  • Accept accountability and responsibility for one's work.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of plant specific cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, and PPE requirements
  • Trained and validated to clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to their focus area (For example, cooks – cookers, depositors, conveyors, floors, walls)
  • Trained and knowledgeable of ladder safety, water and drain management.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate to all positions of Production Specialist.
  • Count products being stacked in layers in boxes.
  • Stack products on conveyor line while monitoring the product flow and quality.
  • Remove product from conveyor line and stack in assembled box.
  • Monitor the conveyor line from the freezer down the slide while performing quality checks on products then through the metal detector for the metal detection Step (includes observations or measurements) to assess whether the critical control point (CCP) is being met for HarpC.
  • Push boxes loaded with products through taping machine.
  • Understand safety/Food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and surroundings specific to their focus area.
  • Follow plant work standards, high quality and productivity standards per plant requirements.
  • Maintain regular attendance per company policy.
  • Meet internal and external customer expectations through teamwork, respect and willingness to help and support others.
  • Improve performance and work process through feedback, risk taking, and generating new ideas.
  • Communicate food safety concerns to supervisor/management.
  • Accept accountability and responsibility for one's work.
  • Confront issues when they arise.
