About The Position

Responsible for overseeing a wide variety of production activities including connecting/disconnecting railcars and gathering samples. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. The Packaging Associate will work in collaboration with the packaging operators and forklift drivers to ensure timelines, processes, housekeeping, and safety requirements are met.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED (Required)
Basic computer skills (Required)
Must be able to read, write and speak English (Required)
Stand, walk, squat, bend, climb, carry, and reach throughout the shift.
Lift to 55 lbs
Climb straight incline ladders, access elevated platforms, and work around industrial machinery.
Sufficient hand and finger dexterity for packaging, equipment operation, and documentation.
Adequate vision, including color vision, to identify materials, labels, and safety indicators.
Work extended periods in a hot, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
Standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling

Nice To Haves

Experience working in distribution or manufacturing settings (Preferred)
Knowledge of basic warehouse equipment (Preferred)
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Gather samples from railcars following safety procedures.
Take and upload required photos of railcars to NEO.
Connect and disconnect railcars.
Change FF&S bag film.
Check catch pans daily and report any damaged pans to Lead/Supervisor.
Vacuum pellets on the ground outside around the railcars daily.
Fill pallets in the palletizer.
Follow work instructions and safety policies.
Keep work area clean of pellets and trash continuously throughout the shift.
Execute assignments in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
Move full Octo bins to the designated area and place empty bins in their place.
Empty plastic waste containers as needed and placed in the designated trailer/area.
Fill water stations at least once a week.
Empty recycling bins once a week.
All other duties as assigned.
