About The Position

Boshart Industries is seeking a Packaging/Assembly Specialist for their warehouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is responsible for ensuring quality products are packaged and assembled in the Tank Tee Dept of Packaging. The Specialist will pick, sort, pack, and assemble components for tank tee kits, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality. They will also communicate with the Packaging Supervisor and Scheduler to manage workload, report throughput, and address inventory/component issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing or related industry
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs or manufacturing software preferred
  • Previous experience working with material handling equipment
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes preferred
  • A knowledge of water well or plumbing products would be an asset.
  • Accurately maintains information, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational processes.
  • Follows procedures with meticulous attention to detail and suggests continuous improvements.

  • Lifting 60 lb.boxes may be required occasionally.
  • Requires wearing steel-toed shoes or boots to prevent injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and manage daily route cards and work picks.
  • Work with Supervisor to adjust production schedules for efficiency.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisor and schedulers.
  • Sort, assemble, label and package, confirming labeling accuracy.
  • Notify shipping of rush orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Pick and transfer products accurately ensuring products are in designated slots.
  • Maintain packaging inventory and perform cycle counts.
  • Dispose of defective products and report issues to supervisor.
  • Suggest process improvements.
  • Complete additional assignments as directed and maintain a clean workstation.
  • Working well independently or as part of a team.
  • Operating confidently in a fast-paced environment, following all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Work in compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, statutes, and departmental policies/procedures/practices and operational guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, that are in accordance with job responsibilities and/or necessary departmental or corporate objectives
