About The Position

To prepare and package finished goods for accurate and timely shipping.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate touch-screen computer monitors and learn the Matrix/ProductionWare system and any other production software as required.
  • Ability to work under general supervision and direction from a Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to accomplish daily goals.
  • Ability to operate a powered hoist.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand/bend/kneel.
  • Must have a relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement.
  • A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic working knowledge of Oracle and Matrix/ProductionWare systems preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • At least 1 year of packaging experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience using an RF Scanner, barcode scanner, lift assist and pneumatic stapler preferred.
  • Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Follow proper procedures for packaging mobility scooters and power lift recliners, wrapping and/or boxing loose components, and selecting appropriate boxes, trays, and suspension for each product and securing them with plastic banding straps, micro-foam bags, and foam inserts.
  • Ensure all instructions and loose components are secured to the product.
  • Scan Matrix ID with barcode scanner to ensure all units are processed accurately in Oracle.
  • Print and apply packaging label to mobility scooters and power lift recliners.
  • Use powered hoist to place mobility scooters into boxes.
  • Promptly communicate barcode, packaging and banding machine issues to management.
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.
  • Complete the annual CTPAT Security training.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment.
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations.
  • Assist with organization and cleaning of work area, keeping aisles and walkways clear at all times.
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary.
